About Me

Hi, I'm Jeanetteā€”your guide to embodied healing and transformation.

For much of my life, I felt like my nervous system was working against me.

I grew up in chaosā€”my parents were drug addicts, and my childhood was filled with instability and uncertainty. I never knew what to expect, and over time, my body learned to stay on high alert. Even in safe, everyday situationsā€”like having a simple conversation with a friendā€”my nervous system reacted as if I were in danger. Stress wasnā€™t just something I experienced; it lived inside me.

On top of that, I struggled with chronic back painā€”partially from the effects of trauma and partially from two serious accidents: one in a car, the other on a bicycle. Some days, the pain was so overwhelming that even normal activities, like caring for my children, felt impossible. I felt trapped in a body that couldnā€™t support me, with a nervous system that couldnā€™t regulate itself.

The Turning Point

I searched for solutions everywhereā€”traditional yoga, therapy, pain management techniquesā€”but nothing created the lasting change I craved. It wasnā€™t until I discovered somatic yoga that everything shifted.

Through this practice, I learned to listen to my body rather than fight against it. I slowly rebuilt my strength, released stored trauma, and reconnected with my ability to trust myselfā€”both physically and emotionally. Somatic yoga didnā€™t just ease my pain; it transformed the way I moved through life.
